Dealers commented that the previous WB80 design was difficult to fit into their vehicles for transport to site, because of its volumetric footprint. There was also a potential risk of damaging other areas of the project while carrying the large box through to the installation location, as it didn't easily fit through a doorway.
We've therefore greatly reduced the volume of the WB80 packaging, making it easier for your installation teams to transport and carry into the final install location.
While we've reduced the volumetric footprint of the WB80 for transporting, once assembled the WB80 dimensions are identical to the previous version.
This means you do not have to adapt any apertures that you may have already created for your upcoming projects. You can use the same size information that was included in our previous WB80 technical sheets for reference when cutting your aperture in preparation for installation.
You'll just receive the new evolution of the WB80 and you can benefit from the new mounting hardware.
Our in-house design teams have added new mounting points to enable AV accessories to be mounted in the wall box, behind the display.
By letting you mount accessories inside the new WB80, we’ve made cable management and maintenance access super easy, while also saving space.
The included documentation in the new WB80 box includes a QR code that you can scan with your smart device to access the full installation instructions. By moving our instructions online we are now able to offer video assembly instructions alongside our technical information for the first time.
In the coming months, you will see all our products transition to this new style of documentation so we can add more visual technical information to assist dealers during installation.
